To support more startups to access startup capital grants, Enterprise Singapore has appointed 17 more Accredited Mentor Partners (AMPs) to Startup SG Founder, bringing the total number of AMPs to 45. The new partners include venture builder Antler, co-working space giant’s incubation arm Wework Labs, as well as deep tech accelerators Imagine H2O and Origgin, which groom startups in emerging sectors such as Cleantech and Agritech space respectively.
Startup SG Founder is expected to groom close to 200 startups in the coming year. Startup SG Founder provides mentorship and startup capital grant to first-time entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas. Enterprise Singapore will match $3 for every $1 raised by the entrepreneur. Startup SG Founder (previously ACE Startup Grant) was re-introduced in mid-2017 with new elements to increase private sector participation.
Under the programme, industry leaders are appointed as AMPs. Appointed AMPs identify qualifying applicants based on the uniqueness of business concept, feasibility of business model, strength of management team, and potential market value.
