Amidst the new norm of Covid-19, where we have had to drastically scale back on face-to-face communication, our bonds still remain strong. We want to continue to build on the ties that bind us, so we can grow stronger and more resilient for the times ahead. Together with the Ministry of Culture, Community, and Youth, we present Mission:Unite, a hackathon to spur youths to identify challenges and ideate ways to bring about greater social compact.
Creating safe spaces for people to share diverse perspectives on race and religion, and discuss challenges and issues in a non-threatening manner
Leveraging digital and physical platforms to create bonds through mixing among people with different races and religions
Raise awareness to break down misconceptions and minimise flare-ups in the community
Learn from foreign friends through cross-border collaborations to bring about social harmony within and outside of Singapore
Develop skills to facilitate difficult and powerful conversations to foster understanding between groups, to enhance social cohesion
It is now more timely than ever for us to come together to build on our diversity, to ideate for cohesion and devise solutions that promote social harmony and drive action for change.
We’re committed to building a harmonious society that brings people together! And we’re ready to support ideas that can contribute to our mission. All good teams that make it to the grand finals will receive:
